Andrea Lawrence Promoted to Deputy CEO and General Counsel of HAP Investments | HAP

HAP Investments LLC, an international, full-service real estate development company headquartered in New York City, announced that Andrea Lawrence has been promoted to Deputy CEO and General Counsel. In this new role, Ms. Lawrence will work directly with CEO and Co-Founder Eran Polack to plan, develop, and manage HAP Investments’ real estate portfolio, in addition to continuing to handle all legal matters on behalf of the company. Ms. Lawrence joined HAP Investments in 2013 and previously held the title of General Counsel.

She is a strong and visionary leader, and I’m confident she will help guide the company to even greater success in her new role,” said Polack. “HAP Investments’ has set ambitious corporate goals for the coming years. We want to identify and invest in additional residential developments strategically situated in the New York metropolitan area as well as successfully design and develop the projects in our pipeline. Andrea’s unparalleled business and legal acumen will be critical in meeting this objective,” he added.

Ms. Lawrence has over twenty years of experience handling complex real estate transactions and related commercial disputes. She has extensive expertise in contract negotiation and drafting, acquisitions, dispositions and financings, corporate structuring, litigation strategy, risk management and dispute resolution. Since joining HAP Investments, development project—from the acquisition and financing of land through construction and development to completion and management.

Prior to joining HAP Investments, Ms. Lawrence was a partner at several large New York City law firms, where she focused her practice on commercial real estate litigation and transactions. Ms. Lawrence is a contributing author to two preeminent legal treatises on real estate law in New York. She is also the author of various articles on significant legal issues and trends affecting the real estate industry.

Ms. Lawrence received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1994, where she was the Research Editor of the New Europe Law Review/International Law Journal. She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1991.
